Does anyone still listen to RTF?

It hit me this morning as I dozed in bed after waking up before my alarm that I haven't listened to RTF since it was released. I couldn't even tell you the date it was released. Now granted I've started a new job etc etc and so I've been distracted but RTF just means very little to me.

Listening to it this morning I didn't feel any great connection to it. Some songs are very nice but I wouldn't say any are brilliant. The majority are just very very average.

Is there anyone on here who is genuinely into the album and feels the album has become part of their lives for the last few months??

Does anyone even still listen to the album?

It was the other way round for me, I wasn't sure about it, started listening to Postcards again (that's right!) and didn't listen to RTF for a couple of weeks. Then I somehow came back to it, and still listen to it a lot.

Hi mate, not a lot no. It's been my least played Manics album since release ever.
Agree with what you say really. Looking forward to Futurology next year.

Listened to it in full again about a week ago, still love it. I've lost count of how many times over all now.

I listen to it pretty much daily. It's the best album they've done in ages as far as I'm concerned.

Been a bit distracted with other stuff while the album was coming out generally (I know! Shock! ) but I've listened to it plenty enough times and one of its songs is always going around in my head. I've calmed down in my Manics listening generally of late which means it must be time to listen to all the albums back to back again!

Yes, I'm still listening. Although the last time instead of having it as the music to wash my hair to, I listened and skipped a few tracks and then used "The Next Day" for my greasy cleansing background noise.

Me too, I'm still listening time after time and I still like it too. Listened to Journal yesterday, though. But my addiction to Manics albums comes and goes and then returns and so on in waves. Until I get addicted to something else. I had been listening to the Film all month long last month. Time to take a break, isn't it?

I don't think I've listened to it since the Manchester gig, but then I haven't really listened to much music recently. I've been off sick from work for the past 3 weeks and the main time I listen to any music is on my commutes to and from work; I haven't felt like listening to music since being off, particularly as I've had serious ear pain and extreme sensitivity to noise in general. I'm sure I will go back to it at some point though, as the reasons I've not listened to it much haven't been because I don't like it, I've just had other stuff going on.
