GATS Reissue CD booklet
GATS, the album that turned me from MSP admirer to fan to superfan.
I have the deluxe A4 sized reissue, and a thing of beauty it is. I'm thinking of purchasing standard CD version of 2020 reissue for the automobile, to further introduce spouse and daughter to Manic magic; yes, I still buy CDs. The original CD booklet had a lot of very nice photos - is reissue booklet same or expanded? That is if a standard CD version was released of course. I didn't know a standard CD was released, just the A4 book which I also have and it is lovely And vinyl too.

There must have been no standard CD release, maybe it was just the A4. I had always assumed a standard CD, discogs lists CD reissues 2020 but obviously must only refer to the A4.

EMG 20 is the only reissue to get a standard(ish) release, isn't it? All the others are still in print as either their original versions or deluxe sets.

GT got a standard CD reissue of the remaster, with Theme From M.A.S.H as a bonus track. Booklet had the essay and lyrics. If I never hear the brickwalled monstrosity of the GATS remaster again it will be a day too soon. Each to their own, but the distortion created is the worst I've ever heard on a remaster. I can see why some would like it, and if it was the only version I'd heard then the original would seem mild. Radio Nostalgia is Radio Death.

Ah, that's interesting. I wonder why that did but the others didn't. Although on the whole I'm happy that the altered tracklistings are deluxe-only, meaning any people picking up for the standard albums still get them how they were originally intended.
