That would have confused me because as soon as Design for Life had finished I would be out for the bus!! one consolation would be is that I would miss Autumn Song

It was eight years since I had last seen the Manics live, and I had almost forgot how good they are live. The gig was brilliant. The crowd was singing along to a lot of the songs on the top of their lungs. The band seemed to appreciate the reception: Nicky was smiling and James included “I think I love you” in Everlasting. There were a lot less people dressed up in “Manics style” than the last time I saw them, but I still spotted one boy in a sailor suit I’m so glad I went. Even YSTSFMH – the song of which brilliance I’ve never quite understood – felt like one of the best sing-along-songs ever written.
