It's a nice idea. Can't hurt, and would let them know how much we want them to come back.
Instead of a tour here though, what if someone organized a Manics north american fan convention at a small/medium hall where the band shows up and plays a set and does a meet and greet ? Somewhere in the midwest, so it would be a good midpoint for people on each coast to meet as well as folks coming down from Canada or up from Mexico. The organizers would provide the stage/gear. The band wouldn't have to bring much, just simply show up. Tickets could be sold in advance. Cost of tickets would pay for hall/airfare-hotel for the band. It could be an all-day event. Some of the musicians on this board could play with their bands on stage during the day, while there would be a dealer area to sell/trade Manics stuff, as well as on official Manics-sanctioned merch table. A commemorative t-shirt could also be sold for the event. There could be raffle tickets sold for rare/unique items - maybe see if someone like Jenny Saville would donate a signed print of Holy Bible era or Journal artwork to auction off/raffle off. The evening would end with the Manics performance. I don't know, maybe I'm going way out on a limb here, or just dreaming of the impossible. Maybe the band and their management would be receptive to coming over here for a special event like that as opposed to another tour in the immediate future. Your thoughts?

^ Really don't think so. They don't do that kind of thing except as occasional signings to go with a CD/tour. I don't think they'd come to a convention in N America, and I don't think there's enough fans to organise one really.

I sent him a small Christmas present saying I am supporting the "bring the Manics to tour North America" campaign. I hope it helps. Fingers crossed for you.
