Thanks for that never seen it. I guess it's from sometime late last year perhaps when Nicky's crappy photo book was about to come out? I'm gonna look at my copy again actually in a minute and get my money's worth if I can

Went to Jeremy Deller's retrospective at the Hayward the other day, so finally saw (a portion of) The Uses of Literacy. There was also a film of the other exhib he did in Cardiff, of the band's artistic influences, and lots of copies of the UoL book in the shop!

I went to the exhibition too, I ran out of time to see everything as I had to get across London for something else.

Lots of interesting stuff, the Manics pop up in more than one place, the free cuppa at Valerie's is certainly a novelty. As far as I'm concerned that makes me art now!

I had fun with the embossing press, the Adrian Street film is very entertaining and the hand made banners are lovely. I didn't get enough time to really get my teeth into all the stuff about the Battle of Orgreave, but I can always go again.

I saw Jeremy at the Nicky talk and went over to say hi, he was lovely. Bit shorter than I'd thought he'd be.

Really enjoyed it. Ran out of time too, as I had a train to catch, but so much of it was related to my life/interests it was weird (Manics x 2, Manchester, The Who, Viewmasters, goth obsessives and Ed Hall's banners, which I saw a full exhibition of recently here).

I went today. The David Shrigley exhibit that you got included in the ticket was much better, although I did like the Battle of Orgreave stuff.
