Practice, practice!

The 'standing on tip-toes' lyric makes me chuckle a wee bit though. Would be the other way round for JDB!

'So shallow and so cold' - Not very romantic Mr Wire!

I didn't like many of the B sides from PFAYM, aside Red Rubber which I really love.

An old thread I know, but I only just got all the singles. Although the Manics have a following in NZ, Sony have never gone out of there way to really push the band and so I had to order the singles from the UK.

I'm really liking "Kiss My Eyes For Eternity", yet when I listen to it I want to change the arrangement. I'd like to turn James' vocals down a wee bit and add more strings. Make the song more lush. Without a doubt "Red Rubber" should have been on PFAYM. It really would have been the strongest track there. However all bands make the error of often making their best songs b-sides. Morrissey's made a career of it.

What is so amazing about Red Rubber? One of the weakest b-sides of the era, not saying it's terrible or anything but in my opinion it's still rather unspectacular.

Lost Voices and Kiss My Eyes For Eternity jointly for me.

Distractions - the closest the manics have ever come to The Clash IMHO. Broken Up Again is also superb but sadly a minute too short.

I think RR and AI have that awesome factor of being 3 different songs in one. It works for AI but feels forced on RR but it is still a decent song.
