Listening to the original now.

In a week’s time I’m going to have my filthy mitts all over the A4 book with the demos playing in the background. Always a good week when the Manics release a new album - can’t wait.

Could be a good year ahead with James’s new album in August, the Manics’ new album next summer (from what they said I think), and hopefully KYE 20 next March. That would be quite a year indeed.

The Quietus has picturetus

EDIT: That Richey pic of him holding the postcard of a Miner. I've saw that picture for ages, although smaller THOUGHT HE WAS HOLDING A CAMERA and taking the picture.
Probably confused it with another picture. Ah! My brain's ace!

The Holy Bible is the bands most iconic era image wise but I've always loved the GATS era for the bands image. They looked like rock gods. Richey had his own style. The beret, large loop earrings and those sharp as a razor Elvis sideburns are cooler than fuck. James looked the rock pig with his blonde bleached hair. Nicky had the Sid Vicious look and Sean, well he was doing his own thing. Image wise the GATS era gets a bit overlooked but to me it was the best. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the photos in the re-release.

In fairness, a lot of these shots look like alternates or from the b roll of what was put into Forever Delayed. I imagine we've seen all of these in some form or another over the years.

The postcard is Robert Dr Niro in "The Deer Hunter". Amazing film.

The perceptions change again! I thought it was some painting of a Miner. Next I'll be told it's an actual English quote on the postcard and not some cryllic text.

I haven't seen those pictures before. I hope there are going to be more in the boxset. The Lenin book James is reading "What is to be Done"? Richey was possibly writing THB
