Delays, McCarthy, SFA.

Wow that'san impressive list! Must admit I'm curious about how you got to Nine Inch Nails. Love both bands but didn't think the Manics were fans.

I was quite pleased to see lots of people got into Delays after seeing them with the Manics. Personally I was a big fan before, so having them there was a bonus. Other than that I'd say the only record I've liked that MSP highly reccomended was Nevermind The Bollocks.

Wow the Manics must have been the first band you were ever seruiously into.
For me, I guess McCarthy is the big one. I got That's All Very Well But on the strength of We Are All Bourgeois Now, though sadly there was nothing on it that impressed me nearly as much.
I guess it's more about stuff people are talking about on here and previously on SB.net than bands I'd hear the Manics endorsing directly. I bought Kinesis and Delays albums because people were raving about them on SB. I'm sure there's probably a few with FD too but can't think of any ATM...

James said that Richey used to push for a Pantera does Screamadelica sound to which James has said was "Nine Inch Nails"

And you'd never really heard of Sprinsteen, G'n'R, the Clash, Joy Division et al before you got into the Manics?

That is really cool! I think it's great that the Manics are such an influence that fans will check out bands based only on quotes like that.

The only reason I've investigated Johnny Boy (still not decided on them yet) is James saying their single was his favourite of the last 5 years.

'Shoes...' is an amazing song. Will give the album a chance soon.

They've only introduced me to McCarthy, and maybe June Brides, even though I wouldn't have minded not being introduced to the latter, but I did buy Simple Minds' Empires and Dance because of the Holy Bible connection and they made it ok for me to admit to liking The Mighty Wah!.

Most impressively, Nicky's inspiration lists for IKTZ led to me buying my first ever Neu album last year!
