I knew it!
I happen to visit home (from Korea to Croatia and back) every year they publish a new album.
I'm planning to visit this year, so....

"The Blackwood born musician also announced a new concept album written with one of the poets he chose, Nicky Wire’s brother, Patrick Jones. "

While we're at it, why not a Great Western "deluxe" edition that has all the B-sides and whatnot?

Wouldn’t mind that as a lot of JDB’s b-sides are on vinyl so it would be good to have them in one place.

Another cracking era for b-sides, up there with the Manics stuff.

So to answer the original question, roughly speaking:

June 2020: GATS 20
'Summer' 2020: JDB Solo album 2
2020 sometime: Nicky Solo album 2?
May-August 2020: The Killers, Green Day and Festivals inc. Glastonbury https://www.manicstreetpreachers.com/tour/ - Coronavirus permitting!
2021 sometime: KYE 2020
2021 sometime: Manics album 14

Plenty to look forward to

My impression from that interview was that Lifeblood anniversary was looking unlikely, but if the band are reading, I would buy 4 version to make that happen!

I think in 2022 we'll see Nick's solo album, he's cursed himself with that description!

Of all the albums I want a lifeblood reissue the most just to collect the bsides in one place.

Guaranteed guitar album next as reaction to James’ “piano” album. Wire says in every interview he needed to hear Jimbo’s guitar again etc etc even though there’s loads of guitar on TUVL and they really over egged the piano Abba stuff in interviews.

More seriously, I think they’ll be another album pretty soon in Spring 2023.
