When was the last time they did Love's Sweet Exile live? I've never been at a gig when they've played it.

I remember Revol being played on PPF, haven't heard it since.

Also bloody vinyl favoritism, getting a studio version of Endless Plain of Fortune .
I would think that The Endless Pain of Fortune will be the Japan CD bonus track

WEK has managed to change the background for the official site.

http://www.manicstreetpreachers.com

No doubt details of the box set are supposed to be announced today. Will WEK manage to get them up before October?

Oh I didn't realise she was looking dead on at the camera? I thought she was looking at something behind the camera? Well... time will tell if it puts me off my stroke or not.

So... Photoshopped or not?

The cloud formation and her shadow appear to give the game away on first inspection.

Since I'm kinda thick and def not smart, I've just noticed that the vinyl edition contains 14 songs while the cd version includes 38 singles.
Why?

the vinyl is a Q magazine thing with *selected songs* not the full version of the album. Don't know if there'll be a proper vinyl release aswell

If it is a Gig with all there singles James will probably have to have 3 years off for his throat to be ok.

Thing is I'd certaintly go if it actually meant seeing some of these songs live, have they actually ever played The Love of Richard Nixon?

Tlorn was played on all dates on the lifeblood tour, november/december 2004, as well as a mimed operformance on cduk.

To the best of my knowledge, it hasn't been played live since.

Three or four gigs in large-ish venues to promote the album, in the UK at least, would probably be a good call.

Love's Sweet Exile and So Why So Sad are the only tracks (besides This Is The Day obviously), that I've not heard the band play. I should have seen them play So Why So Sad, but i missed the Dublin date of the Know Your Enemy tour because of exams. Pity as JJ72 were supporting. They didn't play it at Reading, later on that year.
The TOTP performance was funny enough, I guess.

Damn them for all this, as obviously i will have to get it for the collection. I couldn't be arsed about the vinyl. We don't have WH Smith in the south of Ireland anyway.

Nah, theres an alternative shot with the girl balancing on one of the rails.
It's a great photo, I do like this artwork.

edit: thats not to say some photoshopping may have been done, photos are of course often 'edited' in some way to improve them, I do think the girl is actually there however.
