Alt Duck you seem to be the man who knows when it comes the charts, I take it you work in the industry? I really hope you're right cos this album is fantastic and deserves to be no.1. I mean Phil fuckin Collins?! He can't even sing, his voice is so weak especially when compared to James'!

Any idea how many sales they are up to this week?

ah yes, Soulbook, i really like Rodders. i understand his battle with throat cancer means that he can't hit the notes he used to. i really respect the fact that he says "fans don't want to hear new shit, i don't want to sing shit, they come to see me for the old classics that i love and they love", which is why he says he will only record covers from now on. i'll pretty much buy his releases out of admiration and respect for the man. i mean, who else has that many ex's and has them all together at the same time every Christmas?

none of this, though, should lead you to believe that Soulbook is a pile of shit. how big a pile? in comparison, the 1 or 2 tracks off Phil's equivalent that i have heard sound like "The Holy Bible of records by short bald drummers" in comparison.

not that anyone here is all that enthusiastic about purhcasing Motown covers by getting on in years white English blokes (Rodders was born in London, before you start), but you have been warned all the same.

my Dad's over in the UK at the moment. there was some concert by someone called Andre something in Newcastle that he was going to take my Gran to, but it got cancelled. i suggested he instead take my 82 year old Grandparents to see the Manics instead, in the hope that they would be inspired to go and buy PFAYM for themselves and everyone else in the retirement village.

My Dad is having none of it. this from a man who used to sell dried cow shit to Daltrey & Moon on the basis that it was cannibis back in the 60s. my, how a mere 40 odd years can mellow someone.

Aye. I'm sure your Gran would've loved it too!

I don't work in the industry as a matter of fact, i just know the right places to find the right details . Did the same thing around the time when SATT was released. This time, im much more hopeful of a better result.

Im not aware of an exact sales figure as of yet. If i had to hazard a guess, id say maybe a tick or two over 30k at this stage.
