B-Sides chronological list

Does anyone have a chronological list of all the B-Sides?

I was listening to "Lipstick Traces" the other day and realized how much was missing, so I wanted to put all the B-Sides on my iPod, but in release order. It's become an infuriating pain because I'll get to the end, realize something was missing and have to start all over.

I searched, but couldn't find it. Forgive me, I'm American.

Thanks a lot!

Ahhh, the b-sides chronological playlist. So many questions before you even get started. Do you include songs like Suicide Alley and Motown Junk, which were released as b-sides but were originally singles? Do you include the Heavenly b-sides before the GT ones, or do you put them where they were later released? Do you bother including covers or not? Do you include live versions or not?

I wonder how many hours of my life I've spent perfecting playlists? Loads.

I do, and include them where they were originally released.

They'd be in an 'alternate versions' playlist, together at the beginning.

No, I have a separate covers playlist.

To me, "B-Side" is an umbrella term for any song not on a studio album. So, yes.

Where they were released. Honestly, it's just easier that way.

Yes. "Theme from M.A.S.H." is on "Forever Delayed," but it's the radio edit, so the full-length version goes on the list. And I include live versions.

The only thing I don't include is remixes and that's because I hate remixes.

Yeah, I don't include remixes either. Never really seen the point of them, to be honest. I might as well answer my own questions, then!
I also do the "include non-album singles" thing with my b-side playlists, since they're really more of a way of handily arranging songs that don't get listened to as much as albums do. I always go for putting the Heavenly b-sides when they were originally released, if only to give a bit more flow to the change in sound as their career goes on - I find Hibernation suddenly being followed by a couple of under-produced (but still excellent) songs and then back to another high production song a bit jarring. As for covers, I try to only include Theme From MASH, although I sometimes put the latter two McCarthy covers in, because I like them so much. I never put live versions in, though.

Ahhh, how lovely and geeky.

Isn't it though? I've worked on this damn thing for the past few weeks, and have never been able to get it right.

I might just exclude the live versions because I don't listen to them though, but I feel their absence, which is admittedly sad.

I made that list! I have several criteria:
no live.
no remixes.
yes alternate versions (heavenly).
chronological order.
early singles before sony ones, in GT era.

any other explaination needed?

ps I'll make the PFYAM b-sides playlist when the era will end.

The only thing that confused me gabo... you say yes to alternate versions but no to acoustic versions. But aren't they alternate too?

Some of the remixes are brilliant, too. SWSS Avalanches, all the Stealth Sonic ones, RINTH psychomental mix, Ocean Spray medicine...

I don't bother with remixes or live tracks. Got a couple of alternative versions of stuff, but mainly my B-Sides and Rareities (sic) compilation is made up of b-sides and songs not on any album or single.

And I arrange them in alphabetical order

In some way, yes. But the only alternate versions I keep are the (two) heavenly/sony ones (Spectators of suicide and You love us). I don't like the "non-effort" of acoustic versions, except when the songs are recorded only acoustically.
