"MSP Olympic 2012 Song Games" Committee And Planning Thread

NOT MAKING THE POLLS JUST YET!!!

But Manic Street Preachers songs in one day polls on the same day as Olympic rounds are being attempted. See, if we had access to the listings in the programme, we could work out equivalent Manics songs.

I DON'T MIND IF THE SAME SONGS APPEAR IN THE SAME CATEGORIES! It'll add to the fun.

EDIT: Found it!

38 events! Plus opening and closing ceremonies. Now there was 38 songs on NT, but there's loads more songs we could attach. All the single James acoustic songs. Right, because those recordings are virtually one man playing, should the acoustic songs have the Archery category?
Copy and paste that list with as many categories of the Manics song that you'd think suited those events.

Ideally it would be best to have at least 3 choices for each game. And the poll for them closes in one day.
This also means we'd have to work out our opening and closing ceremony, but we've got 143 days to get it right!

Manic Street Preachers Olympic Games. It sounds great, I know, but we need ideas of how it's going to work out. Possibly even it's own subforum if we get it spot on.

Let the gaming commence after pages of misunderstandings, arguments and lengthy production meetings that seem to be going nowhere until they panic in the final week and use the idea they had in the first place and make one for The Beatles instead!...

Shooting: purely for lyrical reference: Tolerate, Motown Junk, Spectators of Suicide...
