Still miffed on behalf of Japan

MSP coming to Japan just for a festival, with no other live dates on the agenda.

Yeah, I'm miffed! I can't get time off for a festival!

Plus, looking around, I couldn't see that they'd done any non-festival gigs in Japan since ... 2012? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Come on lads!

Yeah, but Japan got Suicide Alley, New Art Riot, Further Away and PCP when nobody else was getting it. Win some, lose some.

Neither did Argentina, Kenya or Sri Lanka.

That is a sad thing for you, junkymotown.

Any chance Summer Sonic might have an exclusivity contract to ensure tickets get sold? What about the other overseas artists on the bill, are they doing non-festival shows while in Japan?

Japanese festivals, though, man. I left my heart in Kansai but even I don't want to be outside in Osaka in August...

Yeah, when a nasty, sweaty, indoor gig provides a preferable climate to being outside...

To be honest, I shouldn't be too miffed, as I saw the Holy Bible tour last year in Manchester. But still!!! To come here and not do any gigs! Even Wilko Johnson managed to do one gig while he was over here for a festival last month!

Good point. But Suicide Alley and New Art Riot for three years with no non-festival gigs... I dunno...
