Actually, I don't think there should be a guest list including fans (obviously you can't do much about friends/family/industry people) at all for events that are meant to be competition winners only. You expect them at normal gigs, but I think it takes the piss a bit when all the other fans only got there by pure luck, rather than because they bought a ticket.

I think the notion of this gig is stupid. They should have done a proper for sale gig and given people a proper chance. It's like king tuts again, I don't see the point in being so exclusive. That said, I think some of these comments are a bit unfair. If they are going to use a guestlist you can't really blame people for taking advantage of it. And not everyone is going to be put on it cos of nicky.

I agree entirely of this. It makes a mockery of the idea of a competition when the same people as usual know they needn't bother entering, because they'll be going anyway.

No, sadly it's all too expected these days. And to comment on Tim's post.. I don't actually think anyone has said anything unfair, considering the situation is totally unfair. We're not slating those on the guestlist, just saying the fact that there yet again IS one when it was meant to be competition winners only is taking the piss. And lets be honest, it IS the same people. Again. I think it's totally fine to publically say you're against the same thing happening again, when there are so many genuine fans here who wanted to go.
