I hope it's not anywhere too small; I don't think I can take the ticket buying stress!

ooh thats a possibility

dunno what happened in 2003 but with a-ha in 2005 at HMV the wristbands were for people that wanted stuff signed after the gig and a guaranteed spot in the cordoned off area. They would only close the store to the public if crowds got too big..they didnt so i could've not bothered queuing for hours and hours and seen the set anyway
Manics are way more popular tho so dunno if they'd do the same. HMV does seem a bit of an odd venue for an album launch...lipstick traces was just a compilation album so maybe thats why they did that one there? I reckon they'll pick somewhere a bit more formal...especially if they're going to play the whole album. WOuldnt that be cool?

Scala or 93 Feet East would be cool, I've played the latter!

James Head: 'Argh, Sony asked us to keep that quiet!'

The stuff that goes down when I don't get on FD, this will make up for King Tuts and no end, sorry non-London people. Cool that they're giving it a proper launch.

Maybe they'll record this gig partially and pop it on a 2nd disc with the new album? Hope so!

Hopefully we'll hear something tomorrow, they usually announce these things so they get in that weeks NME. Still got a feeling it's going to be a competition for a really small venue, but hopefully it'll be somewhere nice like the Forum and we can all get tickets fairly easily.

I wouldn't consider The Forum a small venue, especially by the Manics standards. However, I agree that it would be a good choice both size wise, and for the fact that I like The Forum - they have good lighting.
