I lived in Wales for some time and it was perfect when it comes to being a Manics fan (getting a CD signed by all 3, bumping into Nicky in Cardiff etc.).
But now I'm married and I can't expect my husband to leave everything and move to a place he's never been to (although I did try to convince him ).

I didn't quote you? Just in case someone thought he/she might be... It's easy to be misunderstood on the interwebs

She. It is easy to be mistaken on the internet But as we're all moving to Wales we might meet soon enough....anywhere small is described as 'the size of Wales' so reckon there's every chance

This hasn't been an issue for me previously, be it for gigs in the UK or continental Europe outside my country or even in the USA. First time I encountered it, and didn't like it.

I definitely do. I mean I get it they aren't popular in the US, but there are still some devoted fans here. I was at the Philly show on the Journal tour and the NYC Holy Bible one. They can probably break even with a few dates in bigger cities, but I also get that they probably make a ton more $ on shows in Europe, but every few years if they want to come visit, take a little working vacation maybe and play a few shows, I'm sure myself and other fans would be down for that!

Particularly since the majority of what Nicky writes about inevitably references US culture or US politics in some way or another.
