A small venue tour under a pseudonym could be a good way to test out new material, or play lesser played songs.

Moving forward to 2016, my wish is that they don't do a "Play Everything Must Go in full tour". I'd like to see some lesser played tracks make a reappearance, but I'd rather not see the band decline down the nostalgia route.

I don't know, I wouldn't complain if they decided to tour America in late October/early November (Seems a bit later for a February announcement) and play Mr Smalls (or anywhere else in Pittsburgh). Just so long as it isn't the 24th October.

I'd like to hear a new song or a small EP. I'd not be too dismissive of a truth re-issue (if it happens) but I'd honestly prefer a re-issue of GATS before it just to complete the full "Richey" albums. I'm not too fussed on a soundtrack album if I'm honest - I find the majority of them to be far too self-indulgant which I think the Manics might considering they've said before it's a release they don't neccessarily have to tour or promote.

I'm hoping they film one of the Holy Bible shows and release it on Blu-ray or dvd.

I think after Cardiff they'll go on a hiatus for a year or so. They'll come back in 2016 with hopefully a new album or at least EP and release EMG for the 20th Anniversary and do that in it's entirety. If they do that, i'll be happy, i'll definitely need to go to all the EMG shows.

I think we've been really really lucky over the past 2 years, so if they do go on hiatus then we can't really blame them.

I think i'll definitely see them in London on the next tour. Loved the weekend of Mastertapes. Burst me financially but i wouldn't change it for the world!

To be fair on this tour just gone they were typically doing four Futurology songs per night, Rewind The Film typically five or six and Postcard From A Young Man typically four. Sure, there are bands who'll do the lion share of their new album per night on tour too but it'll get harder to do that after 10 albums. I do hope for these Summer gigs they'll dabble in the bits of Futurology that they've not touched yet though, Next Jet To Leave Moscow, Black Square and Misguided Missile are my favourites.

Don't think it's fair to accuse them of going down the nostalgia route while they're still recording new stuff anyway, whether they play it or not.

Hmm, less than four months till then. Going by the last tour there's easily enough time to announce and do a tour...

I'm hoping in Europe though! Switzerland would be nice.

As to the nostalgia thing, the manics have typically always played probably around 4-5 songs a date on tours promoting new albums in the time i've been following them. I think futurology got a pretty good showing given how short the second set was on this tour.

I'd love another tour of Australia, but if James is true to his word we may have to wait till 2017 for that...

Apart from that.. i just hope that we see a bit of Manics this year and wish James and Sean a safe trip to Patagonia... Nicky, with some extra time on your hands so more lyrics or a biography would be great

Can I just say that I find it a bit odd if people who've had the chance (like myself) to the Manics several times over the past year reply "I hope not" when someone who probably missed out on them completely wishes for a tour closer to where they live? I know it's probably tongue-in-cheek, but without at least a smiley attached it sounds as if Manics tours are only there to accommodate your own pleasure, nevermind thousands of other fans. Let the fusillade begin, my chest is bared!
Anyway, I'd love to see the soundtrack work emerge, more odds and ends like the James/Patrick Jones collaboration, See It Like Sutherland, more O2 tracks for my stamp collection. I find that such songs outside the restraints of album work are often the most unusual and exciting ones.
More solo work would be great by either Nick or James, but I highly doubt it.
Looking forward to Cardiff Castle with my mates a lot, and hope that the non-UK fans get some gigs this year, too. I guess festivals and some Euro dates are likely, as James apparently hinted at more Euro gigs already last year. Maybe even US, as they seem so hell-bent on it?
