I love how the music and lyrics explain the video so well with the different instruments defining the era and events. I also love the elements of sadness in the guitar riffs.

Nice video, nothing amazing, but love the footage of James in there. I do love his "aoww!" midday through the last chorus, he does stuff like that so well to add a bit more emotion and oomph!

By god I love that intro in the video version of the song. Here's to hoping it's parts of the first track on the album, not just a video intro. It's gorgeous.

Out of curiosity, is anyone disappointed or non-plussed about this release?

Don't think I've ever seen such an absence of apprehension on this forum in the run up to an album releaee?

Lockdown lifting fever?
One random thought is the album is said to be of the life and death of Victor Jara. I think that part hasn't got to airplay yet.
I think "There'll Come A War" could be a good prelude to the death part. But still no idea how that will sound. And given he's written music for The Intense Humming Of Evil and S.Y.M.M. we probably won't get "And then he got killllllwwwed" cockney piano finish.

Might not happen in record but won't be disappointed if not: I would have used every instrumentation possible, but when the Junta comes in, switch to basic single instruments.
I don't know?!

James Dean Bradfield's Musical Version of the Life and Death of Victor Jara?
I'd buy that in a heartbeat!
Doesn't seem to be marketed like that.
I think I read on Facebook Uncut giving it 8/10. Happy, but anxious albums by other acts getting higher marks.
So still that devoted.

At first, when it was announced I thought "this sounds like Let Robeson Sing: The Album" when what I wanted was a much more general 'The Great Western 2'. But the subject matter is just a bit of it, the music sounds great and I'm looking forward to it.

I think it is a case that forums or dying but it's also non a full on manics release with level of promo and associated tours. I think the album will be great tho, just based on what we heard so far

We've been here before; I remember people lamenting the loss of Usenet (shout out to alt.music.manics)... something always takes its place

Instead of there been two videos for the single, I'd love for the two to have been mixed together, so we get archive footage, lyrics popping up and footage of James all in one, I don't know why they've really done two separate videos in all honestly?

Pre-save is an obvious but never heard it called that. Also got an email about the album with demos downloadable on day of release. But link took me to HMV (so the record will do something if HMV getting more involved?) with a 7" of the demos also included.
Well, I've no turntable, but I'd much rather use the Manics store.

HMV 7" is the no-doubt banger 'From the Atacama Dust'. Demos will only be downloadable for customers from the Official Signed Tat shop.
