does this mean anything? 2 nights in a row ive had a dream where i 'die'. basically it all gets gradually darker and i feel less and less able to move, then i stay 'conscious' for a few seconds, and then wake up. it's odd.

Yes, it means you're going to die. Sorry.

:)
In what way do you 'die' in your dreams? In what circumstances etc?
I've had dreams about dying before, but they've not actually involved seeing someone die or anything like that. It's like something really weird happens, like once I had a dream about a car which was just smashing itself into a wall over and over again, and when I woke up I was completely terrified because I knew in some weird way that this image was about death, even though I didn't see anyone die...Hmm, I'm not explaining this very well, but dreams always make much more sense to me than they do when I try and explain them to people, I guess it's the same for everyone.

all i can remember is i have done something very wrong, and im being executed in some manner. both times i try and escape but cant and someone screams but i dont know who (possibly me), and then it happens.

It's hard to say what it means without being inside your head. I believe that dreams mean something, but I think they only mean something to you. I certainly don't believe those dream books which try to attach significance to stuff in your dreams, different stuff means different things to different people. For example if you see dead people in your dreams I'm sure those books would attach some significance to it, but if you worked in a funeral parlour or in a mortuary and saw corpses every day, presumably it wouldn't be anything out of the ordinary and would mean something different than to most people.

I have a wierd reoccuring dream in which my teeth fall out. I've had it practically every month (and a bit more) for near 2 years.

Very odd.

I've practically died every night from age 15 to 19.

I was running away, and usually in the end I got stabbed, shot, raped or drowned.

Horrid freaky stuff often happens to me in my dreams. It's just your brains way of tidying up while it's not needed for more pressing matters. A sort of neurological filing system, if you will.

By the way I don't know if any of that is true but it makes sense to me :o :D

Dreams can sometimes have a deeper meaning and sometimes not. Since I can remember, I've had a dream where I'm falling, it feels like I'm falling on to my bed, then I wake up as I make impact. I think a lot of people get this, it has a name but I can't remember it, it often feels like you've received a shock.

I always thought this meant that I would end up killing myself by jumping off the roof of a building. That's nice, especially as I have thought this since I was about five...

i find it horrible to wake up with a start, or by violently kicking something - usually my desk. owww. :(

Ugh, i had a horrible dream once where i turned the corner and these people killed my mum before my eyes. The worst dream i've ever ever had, it scares me to think about it :(

last night i dreamt my school was a castle and a new king wanted to take over so he started destroying the place and killing all the other occupants. so everyone in the school tried to run away. but there was paint and slippery stuff down all the stairs and i went downstairs to the p.e department and it was like a swimming pool changing bit and im sure ive seen it before in my dreams. anyway i was hiding in a bathroom which ive also seen in my dreams before. and i saw a head in the sink and someone was trying to flush one down a toilet and there was blood everywhere. so i ran outside and there were thousands of people running and i saw this guy in an orange shirt and sandals (hahahah) and he looked like edward norton so i grabbed him and said "you look just like edward norton" and i was strangely happy. and we were walking down the road and he was singing bright eyes 'no lies just love' and i was singing it too and then i woke up.

i dream about dying alot most recently that i was sentanced to death (bit like yours, billy) by lethal injection and they gave it to me and i was crying because i didnt want to die but then for some reason it was taking ages for me to die and i woke up before i did.

also i get a falling sensation in my dreams alot. i dream about being on a high place and then i get this feeling like ive just landed on my bed froma height.

you all so wanted to know that, btw. my head is fucked up.

I have dreams of dying when I'm a awake. I don't mean in a suicdal type way. I suddenley become very aware of my own mortality and life seems like a tunnel that I am racing down. I get really freaked out and can start screaming or yelling. It is really horrible especially late at night. I am really interested to find out if it happens to other people as I have never talked about it to anyone as it feels really personnal.

I used to dream I was dying all the time. Getting stabbed in the back with a big sword was a good one. A few years ago, for about 3 months, all I ever dreamt about was dying. And look, I'm still here! Dying in your dreams can be representative of moving on with your life or something like that.

Hello Again

Sometimes i have dreams where i die that are really wierd ones one minute it can be all nice i had this many a time when i was young (im only 21 so im not old by the way );) which to many nights of me running and screaming to my mum crying and sobbing i still get these dreams a lot of them are really strange and odd but even now at my age i still generally wake up terrified and have to settle down for a couple of mins to convince myself it aint real as sometimes i wake with the feeling its actually happening.

Take Care

I actually died in a dream once, by falling from a seven story building. I was conscious that my life had ended....was very scary :S

Last night I had a dream about Robocop and Bruce Springsteen. They were on TV and there was a flashy sign on the screen saying: 'THE EROS BROS'. Yes, fuck, that's what my dreams are like.

I keep having this dream where i'm in a shoppig centre after hours and i'm trying to steal things. But a security guard finds me and chases me through the centre. I end up running into the Body Shop where i hope i can spray him with perfume to temporarily blind him so i can make my escape. Instead, all these gorgeous naked women appear out of nowhere, music starts playing and they all start writhing around and getting it on with each other. I end up taking my clothes off and join them, with the security guard watching on in shock. We suddenly get transported onto a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean. And we all start dancing together 50's style and someone accidentally throws me off the boat while we're dancing and i start sinking to the bottom no matter how hard i'm struggling. Everything starts going hazy and i can feel my ears bleeding. And then i wake up.  Maybe it's an omen that i shouldn't have lesbian relationships because it will end in death or something. I dunno. Too bizarre for words.

I was crushed to death by two metal bars in one dream. When i realised I could not escape, i had a feeling of acceptance. Odd.

i have the same sort of dream quite often too. it usually starts with me finding my gums soft and as i touch the teeth fall out, usually into the bathroom sink. then i start panicing and want to grab it quickly and put it back in my mouth but then it goes down the plug hole lol..

occasionaly i have dreams where i realise im dreaming at this point i start panicing and then just find myself floating in complete darkness for awhile, trying to make contact with my physical body so i can wake up.

usually i just dream about things i'm worried about when i'm awake.

I don't think I've ever dreamed about myself dying,
but I've had loads of dreams where people close to me die. like my parents and friends. and it's just awful.
I'm absolutely terrified of people dying.
a few years ago I went around and tried to prepare myself for the death of everyone I know (in line of my strange philosphy, if you believe a thing really much it won't happen).
I thought that I had to at least try and prepair myself, otherwise I would just stop to function.
stopped with that though, when I thought my granddad was dying and cried for hours and was afraid to go down and ask my mother how it went at the hospital. well well.
and people are surprised i have bad nerves.

Same here, I had a dream where all my teeth fell off a few weeks ago
I rarely remember my dreams. But when I was a child I often had an awful nightmare where my parents turned evil and wanted to kill me. I wanted to shout 'Help' but I could only speak very low... That dream made no sense because I'm getting along very well with my parents.

When I was young I had this terrible dream where my mum would take me to this sort of subway where this bloke would pour a brown liquid over me and it'd blind me for good.

Dreaming about teeth falling out is common, apparantly it has a meaning, but for the life of me i dont remember what it was, i read it in one of me mams magazines........

Apparently, if you dream about losing a tooth on a Friday night and tell someone on a Saturday, you'll lose a friend... Sounds like a load of scrotums to me, though.

i think someone once told me it signifies trouble between one's self and a close relative or friend...
