Regardless of how heartbreaking it must have been for her parents to choose a photo to be released to the press to jog people's minds, I find it surprising they released a photo of her looking 9 or 10 years old. Where as, today, they released a video of her looking even older than 14 :confused:

Maybe they just didn't have any recent photos? It was a bit silly though, she looked totally different in the video I just saw to the picture they released earlier in the week.

I agree Ally, I was having this very conversation with my Mum earlier. Don't you find it strange that the amount of press given to this matter is significantly less than say the other killings of girls in the last couple of years or so. It just strikes me as odd.

Really horrible news though, I hope they find the person responsible. :(

Yeah it hasn't been covered much, well certainly not half as much as that other girl who went missing after she got off her train from school, that was everywhere. Her parents did have a more recent picture though because it was printed in the paper this weekend. Incredibly sad, it sounds like it was a vicious attack.

that was her boyfriend wasn't it? the police would have followed that up though, no doubt he had some sort of alibi
