View Full Version : Cosmetic sugery - well would you?
Just wondering how many of you would actually go for it if you had the money?

I wouldn't. I'd go for laser corrective surgery for my eyesight, but that's only because my eyesight's pretty apalling and wearing glasses all the time is a pain in the arse. And pretty damn expensive too when they cost about £200 a time  But that's as far as I'd take self-modification, and that's only for practical purposes really, not something I'd do to look good or whatever.
Yes I would change at least 3 things if I had the chance.,

I'd get my eyes lasered and my fat sucked out. Then I might have a vague chance of looking human :p*tch*!
No, seriously, if I had the money for that sort of thing, it wouldn't be GOING on that sort of thing!! (*cough* Manics gigs again *cough*)

I wouldn“t. Anyway, I“ve noticed that people often dislike the qualities that actually make them look interesting or even beautiful for others. If people would be able to freely change their appearance we would all probably look awfully boring because all the personality would be gone.
No, definitely not.
:left: You could end up like that.
And besides, i know i'd always have something i hated. And in the end you'd end up like Michael Jackson, falling apart at the seams.

NEVER! Never ever ever EVER!! I think it's such a weird thing to do.... I mean, I've seen some people who had somthing "fixed" and it looks so fake! Why not just be happy about the things you like about yourself insted of focusing on the "ugly" things? I mean, sure it would be nice to be skinny-skinny or have a smaler nose, but hey! I don't wanna look like everybody else, do I? *cough political correctness cough* No, seriously, I think it's disgusting!
'I would' in the fantasy sense of the thing, where I mentally have liposuction and my legs lengthened... but if I actually had the money, I can think of SO many more useful ways of spending it. So, er, no.
You look at someone like Dannii Minogue who's all plastic and just think 'ugh'. That shiny plastic face and skinniness with stupid barbie boobs and hair extensions- she just looks horrible.

Come on lads what do you think of silicone implants?
My faves are the ones that are completely round and 6 inches apart:rolleyes:
I was talking to a fella who had been in bed with a woman with implants. He didn't notice though, cos they were quite natural looking, and he was just busying enjoying himself and when the bra came off the woman was like, really expectant: 'well?'
and he sort of said, 'er, well what?'
'What do you think of my boobs?'
well, he liked them, but the whole thing ruined the moment because I guess the woman expected rapture or something at the sight of these new boobs of hers. Goes to show. Boobs are lovely, but they are. just. boobs. and the world won't come shuddering to a halt if they're not perfect.

It wasn't a 'before and after' and he hadn't noticed?

<T.M.I.> I have tits like two aspirins on an ironing board... but none of my partners have ever complained ;)</T.M.I.>
My sister has legs like you wouldn't believe (grrr), and is very pretty, but she still had a time when she was desperate for boob implants.
In my family it's generally acknowledged that she got the legs, and I got the boobs, so to comfort her in her stupid boob-worship I said 'yes but you wouldn't swop your legs for my boobs, would you?' and she said, in that loving older-sister way, 'no, I suppose I wouldn't.'
nngrrisnbloodysistersnngngjrrr.
being an ugly bugger with a ugly great nose i would say yes if it were not for fear of something going horribly wrong, and the thought of breathing through it. eurgh. oh and whoever mentioned danni manogue in saying that males would 'disagree', i agree with you! she looks so.. fake.. eew. having your body done up for sexual purposes is basically 3d pornography. no?

God, where do I START???? OK, teeth straightened (technically not cosmetic SURGERY, but it's still COSMETIC), boobs a bit bigger (in proportion is the key!), legs lengthened (if it's available!) butt and thighs suctioned...... what else can I think of???? :D
I've always wanted to get my nose done. Buut, fortunately, not anymore. It's not bothering me anymore. I think though it's not too bad an idea if one of your physical features is 'really' out of order*
*Do you say it like that? Well, I do.
Has cosmetic surgery advanced to the stage of head transplants? I'll have one of them please.

And what makes you think you're not

I want to look like Clint Eastwood.
a few years ago i would have had everything done, but now i cant be bothered.
ill always be short, plump, and dark haired, instead of tall, thin and blonde like my husband fancies, now i just tell him to fuck off
You do that mate! short, plump and dark haired is cool. Whenever I am plump (I'm always short and dark haired) I take Nigella Lawson as my role model, how sexy is she?
Ok, if I actually could, I would probably be transformed into an exact replica of the great Audrey. But then it'd just be 'you know, you look just like...' all the time. It's kind of cool to be pretty just like yourself.
(when I was a teenager and going through the weird-looking stage, I literally got told I looked like a different woman every day. It sort of freaked me.)
yeh.. id get cosmetic surgery.
teeth (i mean.. i dont even know if its possible.. but id get it down the expensive way that doesnt need braces or anything. give me false ones even, i wouldnt care).
and this little dimple in my nose. i dont know how to describe it.
what else? umm.. i can think of one or two things ;)
**
as someone who was once labeled 'a skinny version of joe millionaire' (im not skinny, but everyone agreed), i think ill just go for one of those total body makeovers...
The idea of cosmetic surgery just seems over the top for me personally. Nothing against people who want it, but it's just not for me - I can't stand the whole 'aspiration to be "perfect"' idea.
