apparently maddock has been banned again with no explanation as of yet. im not trying to cause trouble and i assume he will be contacted soon as courteous, but from previous experience this seems like it will be unlikely...
also, it seems like relic is a moderator (from the announcements in all the forum sections i have looked in). how many moderators have you got? last count there was finn, alessia, sbs, amanda, K, jan, relic, "bumpy" (im going to mention him/her later). who else is there?
also, i posted a message to SBS and alessia asking who "bumpy" was (see this (http://brennig.8m.com/Bumpy.jpg) picture about it) and i recieved no reply. both of them had been read, and i know that the problem concerning PMs only involved PMs that were posted before someone used the well documented exploit that deletes the contents of all PMs. why was this? i know sbs appologised to all people who she could not reply concerning the downtime, but this was not in any way related to that.
any answers? and you know i would like all these questions answering in public.

ah well it couldn't last.
There are lots of mods because we've all got busy lives, with things happening in them. More mods mean happier mods, which is what you all want isn't it?

i wasnt complaining about the fact that there are so many mods, i would just like to know which of the active posters are mods. all part of keeping everything in the open which is the best way to keep trust between users and moderators.

At a guess I would say Bumpy is a administrator as opposed to a moderator, one of the techies that keep this place working, but anyway does it relay matter who he is?
If that’s the case shouldn’t the people who have more than one account own up now?

I think you're just going to have to accept the fact that the list of FD mods is a pretty fluid thing, subject to change as people's lives change. It's not going to be something that you can ever set in stone, you do realise that don't you? I don't quite understand why it's so important to you to know. It's not something that I've ever really cared about, in any forum I've been in.
Could you explain why it's so terribly important to you to know the ins and outs of this whole thing?

its all a question of getting things out in the open. i would have thought that after that maddock/mank/mikey (what is it you have about peoples names begining with M? :P) banning when a lot of hastle started with trying to find out why they were banned. if they had been contacted in the first place then there would have been none of that (that is just an example, im not trying to bring up old arguements).
sorry, i knocked send there and i cant seem to find how to edit posts at the moment.
its best overall for the community if people know whats going on with regards to who is in charge around here. one job of the mods is to be someone they can contact if they have any problems with the board, but if they do not know who the mods are then they do not know who to contact.

That's a good point actually. Have you figured out how to post a list of mods in vbulletin Jack? There's no reason why we shouldn't have one, it's just something that hasn't been got around to yet.

surely there must be someone who can remember everyone who is a mod on here? if there isnt im sure that you could all collectively somehow work out who is a mod. or whoever has access to the admin pannel (assuming it is the same as PHPBB in this respect) there will be the page that will be where mods are added. there will be a list there somewhere.

you can say wherever you want. here perhaps, a new post, an announcement possibly. or you could just turn on displaying the groups (eg the moderators group) on this (http://forum.foreverdelayed.org.uk/showgroups.php) page so we can see for ourselves. as far as i know displaying of the groups is on with a default install so whoever set this up turned it off.

im not complaining at you in particular, but having 5 or 6 mods who dont know what they are doing doesnt make up for having one mod who knows how to run a forum

So after taking 3 weeks to install vB you're asking for help now..

Does it matter who bumpy is, apart of course, to prove that you got a screencapture of him online. I mean it surprises me just how much interest some people have in this forum.
look closely at the colour of bumpys name, and what colour someones name would be if they were an administrator.
i dont see why none of the admins are saying anything about it. if they just came out and said everything about it noone would care. its just they are being secret about it makes people think there is something is going on.

Yes, how clever. I noticed that the first time, hence my comment about proving that you were keeping such a close watch on the forum that you screencaptured it. It's not as if you needed evidence to make the point. And who really cares, none of the other users it seems.

Aye, couldn't agree more. FD hasn't been back up more than 5minutes and you're nagging. Just leave the mods to do their jobs, and if you have got any problems, PM the people involved, dont make it public just so you can get attention. ;)

Jack, Bumpy is a non-Manic friend who helped us with the technical stuff. He was given admin access to better be able to find out what had been tampered with. Hope that answers your question.
Ha looks like I was right.
