I've found this pretty useful - many people rely on it from seeking band mates to getting used gears. I myself found my singer via new york version of Craig's.

if you have means to post your demos as mp3s, you definitely should. one sample of what you want to/can do speaks more than 10 paragraphs of words, and you are sure to get more replies this way.

i live the opposite, i live in surrey during uni time (epsom) and live half an hour/an hour from brighton during non uni time

ive been playing guitar (rhythm) for about 5 years and started playing bass errr.... 1 to 2 1/2, havent played much for a while was in a band played three gigs. only played covers, radiohead, manics, oasis so i dunno how good i am with coming up with my own riffs but i can play other people's. i also write lyrics and if i can the music to go with it (sometimes the music just dont come as easy as i thought)
